Torremolinos just 12 km from the Airport Malaga and some kilometers more from Malaga City. Torremolinos is easy to reach by its highway and motorways. Malaga airport is only 5 minutes drive away; with public bus and train it’s 15 minutes. Torremolinos gets it’s name date back to the 14th century. The area contains numerous evidence of prehistoric settlement.

Torremolinos is probably the most famous resort on the Costa del Sol – apart from Marbella. It was the first town on the Costa del Sol to be developed for tourism in the 1950's and 1960's. The real boom started in the 1960’s with hotels, apartment blocks, bars and restaurants stretched along the sea front which caters for all tastes and budget.

Torremolinos is now a large resort, with many high-rise hotels and apartment blocks, and is still growing in all directions. There has been an attempt recently to improve this concrete jungle feeling by the creation of many public gardens in the town with many colorful flowers and exotic trees. More than thousand trees and vibrantly colored flower beds are planted though out the town. Today the town gives a cosmopolitan atmosphere attracting all nationalities, from Northern Europe, East Europe, Northern Africa. South America, and Asia.

The town can be thought of as two separate sections: Torremolinos centre which was the first part to be developed; and the more attractive and more authentically Spanish area of La Carihuela to the west which is a charming area with many of the original fishermen's cottages still existing and pretty houses with bougainvillea covered patios.

Torremolinos’s coast covers more than 6 kms and is divided into six beaches: Los Alamos, Playamar, Bajondillo, Carihuela, Montemar and Del Saltillo. It’s beautiful clean beaches with golden or dark sand, calm waters and warm temperature make it a perfect location.

The seafront promenade, Paseo Maritimo, runs from Playamar along to La Carihuela, continuing as far as Benalmadena Marina. The walk from the center of Torremolinos to La Carihuela is a pleasant one with lovely sea views and many excellent seafront fish restaurants along the way.

Playamar beach stretches to the east and the Carihuela beaches stretches to the west towards Benalmadena Costa and although they do tend to get busy during the peak summer months.

Here you can enjoy plenty of sunshine together with culture, sport and leisure on one of the six km long. Torremolinos is a place where there is a lot to see and do. Many night clubs are ready for everybody’s nightlife.

Main attractions of Torremolinos are Water- and theme parks and casinos as well as plenty of outlets for sport and leisure activities.
