Moving back home

More than half of the retired people in Spain want to go back to their country once they are 70-75 years old. In a certain sense these group fails too. Why do many people fail with their life in Spain?

Retired international people in Spain from the age 70 upwards start having more and more fear of the Spanish homes for old people and the Spanish care homes. As they can’t afford a private home for old people or care home, they want to go back to their country.

Most retired people don’t speak Spanish or only little. Therefore they don’t feel well with the Spanish neighborhood and the Spanish health system.

At that moment they want to sell their home in Spain and they want too much considering the market conditions today. Some think their sale pricemust pay them also the expenses for home and life they had the last 10 years.

But they paid too much for the house 10 years ago and their house is already a bit old. Nobody is willing today in paying for their mistakes in the past, for their life and home costs in the past, for the old furniture and equipment, for the bad building “quality” of the last century, and above that ignoring the fallen prices in general today.

The real estate market is crashed down 80-90%. Spanish experts say clearly: the homes are 30-50% over valuated since years.
