Learning Spanish

Why should you learn Spanish? You are here in Spain now while reading this Website because you have a certain interest in Spain, either for holidays or business reason, or for moving to Spain, or you already live in Spain.

There are Germans, Brits and others yet living for years in Spain, maybe even 10 or 20 years, and they do not speak Spanish; they can’t even go shopping in Spanish. There are many facts from which one can conclude: it’s really not recommendable to live in Spain and not to speak Spanish. An enormous amount of excellent opportunities get lost.

A tourist has much more benefit from his sightseeing, nightlife and chill out if he speaks at least basic Spanish. How can a person understand the Spanish culture and history, the Spanish people and their way of living without knowing any little Spanish? Not speaking Spanish means also that a tourist can really be lost being unable to ask a police man or whomever for orientation, for help or an emergency support. The ability to speak Spanish gives a tourist more and better opportunities to enjoy what Spain can offer him.

Spanish has not only a high impact in the global political life and institutions, but also in the world of business today more and more focused in globalization.

More than 400 millions speak Spanish as their first language around the globe. Soon 500 millions will speak Spanish as their first language! In 21 countries Spanish is the official language. Spanish is also an official language of the EU, the UNESCO, the O.N.U. and other state institutions. Spanish has more and more a significant importance in Europe. In four continents people speak Spanish. Spanish is the second prevalent foreign language after English that people learn as second language.

Learning Spanish is easy. There are many similarities with English and the written Spanish is entirely phonetically. Only the grammatical aspects could be a little challenge; but the basic Grammatik is really easy.

Most language schools offer a learning program together with social and cultural activities; the ones in a large tropical garden and others in big cities with exciting nightlife. Some schools offer accommodation.

The study programs can vary: standard programs, a program for commercial (e.g. medical or legal), a program focused on tourism or on becoming a Spanish teacher. Most of them offer courses with small classes and individual lessons. There are also many online study programs, partly with online support. In all tourist resorts one can find a private teacher with a customized teaching service.
