Calahonda is an extended area with much urbanization next to the beaches and up the hills till the highway. There is a Highway exit/entry. Calahonda with its neighboring resorts is known as one of the leading and most popular resident communities on the Costa del Sol. Its population varies dependent on the time of the year from a minimum of 15,000 to 50,000 at the highest.
Calahonda has the atmosphere of a small village, with easy walking distance to everything. In the area are supermarkets, many bars and restaurants, shops, banks, gift shops, hairdresser, and service firms. You can find everything in Calahonda.
