The original heart of Benalmadena remains as a typical Andalucía village in the foothills of the mountains which sweep down to the shore. The charming Benalmadena Pueblo is still an attractive old Spanish village with the typical whitewashed houses on cobbled streets. The narrow, flower-filled streets hold plenty of traces of the former civilizations which used to exist in the area.

The old town of Benalmadena Publo is in an altitude of 300m and very close to the sea. The old town reflects the Arab influences. Benalmadena Pueblo has kept its interior enchantment and traditional course of the area.

Benalmádena Pueblo is a strong contrast to the touristic and modern resort on the coast with its hotels, restaurants and metropolitan life style. Authentic dining can be found up in the Pueblo while on the cost line are the usual restaurants and bars with an international theme.
